Is it really so much to ask, just to keep my normal lovely Time Lord body? But no. First I'm stuck as a human, and now--

[The way the camera is, the Master can only be seen from the torso up. Other than the fact that he's shirtless--no point in clothes in his current state--and a set of gills on his neck, he looks fairly normal.]

At least my general senses and the like have remained in tact, even if I'm essentially some...aquatic hybrid now. I'll just content myself with the fact that I'm not the only one dealing with this.

[He grumbles, reaching over to turn off the PCD. If you look carefully, you might catch a glimpse of what looks to be...tentacles?]

Well. It's gotten cheerful around here. Is this the Animus' way of apologizing to us? I never really cared for festivals, so I might sit this one out. Maybe. Who knows. If I'm bored enough, I might check things out. And I do get awfully bored around here, awfully easily.

[He starts absentmindedly tapping his fingertips again. The usual beat. Onetwothreefour, onetwothreefour.]

I'll have to think of some new projects.

[Filtered to Lucifer // Unhackable]

So. Are we actually doing anything right now?
soundsofdrums: (First day in office)
Ah, to finally have two hearts again. The Animus took their time this round in getting things back to normal, didn't they? And oh, it was so quiet, far too quiet. It's as the saying goes, not realizing just what something means to you until it's gone.

Being human was a terrible muddling of senses. Good thing that we're all back to...normal. Maybe a few reintroductions are in store.

Juliet, how are you faring, by the way?

[Filtered to the Tenth Doctor // Unhackable]

Well, well, well! This place just can't get enough of you, can it?

[Filtered to the Eleventh Doctor // Unhackable]

It's so comforting to see that your sense of fashion continues to do nothing but degrade and be absolutely ridiculous. It's the constant little things in the universe that keep you going, you know. So! Try not to destroy all of space-time by causing a paradox.

[Filtered to Moriarty // Unhackable]

We'll have to do this again sometime soon.
soundsofdrums: (A tortured mind)
...You humans are like paper sometimes.

[Have a displeased Master yet again. Why this time? Well, it could be from the bruises and scrapes covering him, the rather horrible looking black eye he has... His little scuffle with Jack didn't exactly go as intended.]

Isn't this supposed to have just ended?

Private to Moriarty // Unhackable )
soundsofdrums: (Is she done screaming yet?)
[It had been a fairly normal day, at least for time spent in Adstringendum. As normal as things could get with everyone being human. The Master was still terribly unamused by this event, still badly stressed and twitchy at his own humanity as well as the lack of drums. It felt wrong, it was against everything he had ever been. Even knowing that the Doctor was suffering a similar fate wasn't helping him at all.

For now, he decides to simply take a stroll, not wanting to be idle and muse on his own quiet thoughts and singular heartbeat. Maybe he'd blow up another building or two.]
soundsofdrums: (I'm coming undone)
[The Master does not look happy. At ALL. It takes him a while to speak, and when he does, his voice is lacking any sort of amusement.]

What, praytell, are the Animus up to this time? This is hardly what I'd call amusing in the least. Screwing up their computer system, haha, very funny. This--No.

Has any non-human here noticed anything different?

[Fail!Filter to the Doctor]

ΘΣ.

[It's the only form of address he can use right now without simply saying "Doctor", as much as he loathes using the name. He knows the filter isn't going to work, and so, he immediately starts talking in Gallifreyan.]

It's gone. Everything. It's as if I'm a human again. As if I've used a Chameleon Arch, but I remember everything.

And they--the drums--they're gone. They're gone. [He looks pained at this.]

Tell me. Tell me that you're affected too.
soundsofdrums: (One of two)
And so it continues. It's been a while since anything interesting has happened around here, hasn't it been? The Animus aren't exactly on schedule this time around. Now, what's going on this time?

[Fail!Filter to the Doctor]

Firstly, my dear Doctor, I suggest keeping your pet on a leash. I'd rather not have to go through the bother of regenerating in this world. I mean. I like this body. I'd like to keep it. So tell him to play nice, will you? As a show of kindness, I'll even try to be nice right back. Can't guarantee anything, but worse comes to worse, he comes back from death a whole lot easier than us.

And, secondly! I found out some...interesting things about my supposed future, at around the time you come from. Sucked into the time lock you created, just in time to burn with the rest of Gallifrey? Some repayment for saving your life! It looks like in the end, you let me die right along with them.

It's okay, though. I don't forgive you--never will--but we've got all the time in the universe for you to make it up to me.
soundsofdrums: (Who uses sonic?)
Who here has been to the Inner City? Tell me, what fun and exciting things are there? Anyone make contact with the Animus? I've been so very curious about this, especially as of late.

soundsofdrums: (Not rid of me so easily)
I knew that it wouldn't take too long.

[Yes, it's still pouring. Yes, his house is flooding. The Master doesn't give a damn. Why? The Doctor is here now, of course! His own good mood is very obvious. Even if it's going to be harder to plot all his fun evil things and carry them out, especially with the other Time Lord living under the same roof as him now, he doesn't mind all that much. Besides, it's all part of the game, and the game has started again. He needs the game.]

Isn't it nice when you're not the only one of your kind here? It's so inspiring. Things are going to be so much fun.
soundsofdrums: (Let's get down to business)
Just as I told those lovely Animus folks--isn't there something in some human religion or another about a giant boat? An ark? Maybe we ought to get to building one of those, lest we be washed away for our "sins". This is enough like--what was it again, in the same religion? Oh yes. Purgatory. Never really was as good at human culture as he was.

Might as well enjoy it! It's been so long since I've been for a proper swim.
soundsofdrums: (I'm coming undone)
[The first thing that one is able to see on the screen is fire. A decent amount of it. Flames are lighting up a few trees and the ruins of a building that could have already been ruins, could have been whole before--it's hard to tell. Destruction, simply. Thankfully, it's confined to a small area.

The Master is sitting off to the side, absentmindedly twirling his laser screwdriver in his hand. He does not look happy in the least. It's mostly anger, but there's a twinge of sadness there as well. But just a very slight twinge, almost completely unnoticable.]

Doctor, Doctor, Doctor. [He's muttering to himself. Even that is hard to hear, as he's not close to the screen.] My dear Doctor. Just you wait until you get here. Things are going to be a little different.

[A pause, and he grins slightly.]

Playtime is going to change. I'll make it.

soundsofdrums: (Why hello there)
...Rainbow sheep. [He snorts, throwing his arms up in the air for a moment.] From zombies to these. I might even be growing warm to the Animus' sense of humor, if it weren't for the fact that these creatures look so ridiculously ugly. [To himself.] Almost as bad as that one coat of his.

Now, what exactly is going on with the rest of the city right now? Something more than rainbow sheep, from my brief overview of the network today.

[This last week has had some pluses and minuses. The mindless killing (no pun intended) was rather theraputic, yes. The girl who claimed to know everything about him and his future? Not so much. The Master has no reason to believe her, doesn't have the slightest bit of trust in her words, but the ideas have been plaguing his mind regardless.

The drums have been louder than they've been for a good while, and now he's got the added bonus of wondering about a new possibility: that they aren't just the product of his own insanity.]

So! Is that little adventure all over and done with now? What a shame, it was starting to just get the tiniest bit interesting. [A pause.] Maybe I'll start up a project. Might as well be productive with my boredom.
soundsofdrums: (One of two)
[Absentmindedly constructing death rays is rather pointless when one has a sonic screwdriver, and there's just not enough things to tinker with in this place. The Master's getting bored. Very, very easily. As usual. For now, he's back at the library, flipping through books.

And by flipping through books, it's literally flipping through them. Book after book, novel after novel is being read at superhuman speed, hundreds of pages in mere seconds. Two dozen hardcovers in, the Master tosses the latest read one over his shoulder, sighing.]

Two weeks already. Two. Weeks. There must be something.

[[ooc: Anyone's welcome to join him at the library! :D]]
soundsofdrums: (Are you even trying?)
Oh, so it changes.

[This song is now playing in the background.]

My very first victory song from that little adventure.

[He hums along for a little bit, before leaning back in his chair.]

There must be something to do around here. Otherwise, I'm going to have to make my own fun.

[The Master is looking a tad...bored, really, fingers drumming absentmindedly against the table in a familiar pattern. One-two-three-four, one-two-three-four. Some things haven't changed. Still, something is intriguing him a little--mainly, the music.

This song is playing happily in the background.]

Track three. How interesting. Have we all got music following us around, then? Our very own theme songs! I feel like the hero of a story, or perhaps the villain. The best songs always do go to them.

It's a welcome change to constantly hear something else.

[He continues tapping, even though it doesn't fit the rhythm of the song. Still, he ends up singing along, a small grin on his face.]

Oh, I can't decide whether you should live or die...

[A smartly dressed figure is prodding at the PCD with a long metal tool, as if he's trying to work out just how it works. Nothing looks very out of the ordinary with him, aside from the splotch of crimson on his otherwise impeccably clean white dress shirt.]

It figures that humans can't do anything right. Such a simple set of instructions, and yet they still managed to foul that up! What godforsaken planet is this now? I hardly intend on being trapped here.

Something on this magnitude, though... I wonder if he had a hand in it. Oh, I wouldn't be surprised at all. He does like me so.

So, dearest Doctor. Are you hiding here or in your little TARDIS somewhere? I can't sense you, but no matter. You're no different than me when it comes to tricks. Come out, come out, our business isn't quite finished yet!
