But aren't there times when someone's heart, or hearts in your case, is beating so loud you can hear, or feel it in your head? Maybe your kind, Time Lords, are sensitive to this sort of thing. Like it might be a blood pressure issue!

Perhaps something was done to you, or it's the result of some trauma back in your home world? If it really is so consistent, then it's probably something that was done to you.

It could certainly drive you into being one. Something that could drive you into doing things to either relieve the... issue, or try things in an attempt to get others to suffer along side.

Did you try talking to the Doctor, or the one that also goes by John? Perhaps talking to someone from your universe will help.

Honestly? I'm not quite sure, seeing as I don't really know you. What I do know is personality types, and under certain kinds of pressure there are a few given ways that the person can turn towards.

As I said, it could drive you into doing something like that. It could also be something that you've been pitting all your willpower against to keep it from ruling your life.

Just keep in mind that it's a battle of wills. So you just have to be stubborn enough to not let it get to you. Who knows, maybe someone knows how to look into minds to see how to treat the drums.
