There is a library, for one. You could always look around and find out more about the city. Or if you are inclined to it, there is always training in the martial arts.

At least three dozen books in at the library, and I've all the training in fighting that I think I'll ever need. [Snort.] Martial arts... Reminds me of a certain someone's Venusian Aikido. No, martial arts is rather primitive.
