Fire, death, and destruction. Ah, it's just like how my home planet was starting to get. but with far less giant metal pepper shakers and far more....whatever the hell is causing all of this. To be honest, it's difficult to keep track or pay attention. Well! The heroes always come around to inevitably save the day, now, don't they? And that's certainly not me, so I think this is one thing I'm just going to wait out.

I don't much appreciate the damage to my house, however. I liked my little workshop room. It's going to be terribly annoying to properly gather up everything that's stuck under the debris now.

I'm not exactly the type of man that readily offers assistance, nor do any of my particular skillsets even fit anything that could be assissted with, so I'll just wish you all good luck.

You two--and the kittens, of course--are the only ones I particularly care about keeping safe.

Doctor, you are not to leave this house under any circumstances short of a structural collapse. For once, resist your urge to play savior to the universe. I am not going to drag your corpse back here a second time.

Juliet, what is your current status, and do you have Spike looking after you?

[The Time Lord in question is currently sulking, sprawled out on the couch belly down with the Master seated on his backside.]

What if there's something I could do? People are dying out there and I could help them!

[Sorry, Doctor, but if he has to literally sit on you to keep you there, he will.]

This isn't our issue. There are already plenty of people who know what they're doing helping other people. You getting mixed up into this mess will help no one.

[He could knock you off if he wanted to very easily :|]

Of course it's our issue! We live here too, don't we? What if there's nothing left by the time this is all over, and we're the last ones here?

I severely doubt that will be the case. Look how many people are scurrying around like ants fighting off the, what, three or so baddies? There are people here more than capable of handling it, and more skilled at this fighting business than you.

You don't know that. [He's just sulking now. A lot.]

[He may love the Doctor, but he's never above emotional manipulation.]

[He goes quiet for a moment.]

Forgive me if I don't trust that.

[He sighs, shifting slightly to free a hand and slip it into the Master's.]

Alright, fine. I won't leave.

Good. I take it that I can get off of you now without having to worry about you running off?

[He gets up, then, motioning for the Doctor to just sit.]

[He sits up and glances out the window, sighing a bit at the raging fires outside.]

It'll die down. It always does, in this city.

That hardly stops me from worrying.

Maybe. [He smiles slightly.]

[A little awkwardly, he puts an arm around his shoulders.]

Watch. The destruction will end in another day or two, and things'll be back to normal in a month.

[He's a little surprised by that, but he gladly leans in against the Master.]

I hope so. I hate not doing anything.

I know. You and your constant, incessant need to save the universe from itself.

I can't help it. [He lets his head rest on the Master's shoulder.]

[Aw, how sweet.] Let it be for once.

Trying to. [He laughs softly.] I need more distractions.
