Ah, it's been nice to be back in my own body. Last week wasn't particularly what I would call pleasant, though we've had worse tricks played on us by the Animus. Not that I'm any more pleased with them, of course.

It really is strange to watch seasons pass by sequentially in an Earth fashion. Time Lord and all, I hardly lived my lives in anything close to a linear path through time. How...quaint. A little dull and so slow but I suppose it has a bit of charm to it.

I am looking forward to proper snow. Ooh, we can even build snowmen, have snowball fights, it'll just be like childhood.

[small smile and a shrug] It's the best way to share a story. And I'm feeling like cucumber sandwiches, which is why I asked.

[He ends the PCD call, then, lounging around. Really, he wonders, how have they become so....bloody domestic?]

[It takes a few moments, but eventually the Doctor's arranged a nice tray of tea and cucumber sandwiches. He knocks lightly on the Master's door before letting himself in.]

That's a good housewife. [He's just lounging on his bed right now.]

Shut it or you won't get any sandwiches. [He smiles faintly, setting the tray down and giving the Master a shove before sitting down next to him.]

I'd just take them. [He shoves back before grabbing one of the sandwiches, starting to nom on it. He'll be keeping a good eye on you, Doctor, to make sure you don't take them all.]

[Oh, is this a challenge? The Doctor takes a sandwich as well and gives the Master a slight smile.] You would.

And unlike some monsters, I'd still leave some for you.

Soft on the inside, Master.

[He raises an eyebrow.] What?

You heard me. [He leans back, taking another sandwich and letting himself sprawl sideways across the Master's bed horizontally.]

And I'm not understanding you.

You're like a Twinkie. You're all soft on the inside.

[He looks absolutely insulted at the comparison.] I am hardly.

[The Doctor sits back up, a smudge of cream cheese smeared across the corner of his lips.] Are too.

Are not, you idiot. ...Messy idiot, at that. [He rolls his eyes, reaching over and wiping off the cream cheese with his thumb.]

[He blinks slightly at the contact, startled out of his train of thought.]

Oh. Thank you. I think.

You're quite welcome. [He grins. Then licks the cream cheese off his thumb, because why waste it.]

[He can't help but stare, almost gaping a bit.]

[He gives him a pointed look back.]

[There's a faint blush at that, before he clears his throat and looks away, reaching for his tea instead.] Aaaaaanyway...

Oh, you and your blushing. You ought to tone that down, lest you start giving me any ideas.

[He doesn't even try to defend his blush this time.] Do you want to hear the story or not?
