Just as I told those lovely Animus folks--isn't there something in some human religion or another about a giant boat? An ark? Maybe we ought to get to building one of those, lest we be washed away for our "sins". This is enough like--what was it again, in the same religion? Oh yes. Purgatory. Never really was as good at human culture as he was.

Might as well enjoy it! It's been so long since I've been for a proper swim.

There was little need for swimming in Verona. It seems essential that I learn now, the way the rain is coming down. Never have I seen a storm so heavy.

How does one go about learning to swim?

You find someone to teach you, of course. I'd offer, but I'm far too impatient to be a proper tutor.

That, or you simply jump into deep water. Instinct ought to kick in from there.

You are a Lord, sir. I would not presume to ask such a thing of you. Though it is kind of you to think of it. I shall have to inquire after such a tutor. I would be too afraid to jump into water with no training whatsoever. Even if swimming does turn out to be mostly instinct, I've no wish to find out the result if I have no natural aptitude for it the hard way.

[Lord. Lord Saxon's been amusing, though Lord Master sounds even better--but he'll still wait on that a bit.]

Fair enough. Good luck in finding a teacher. You'd better do it soon.

[Water-logged though she is, she manages a proper curtsy.]

Thank you, Lord Saxon. I shall endeavor to find one quickly.
